Founded in the year 2010, the young chair for Pervasive Computing Systems is working on development and integration of modern information and communication technologies into the physical environment. The head of the group is Prof. Michael Beigl, holder of the Shared New Field Professorship of KIT and SAP. Studies and teachings of the chair are focusing on wireless sensor-networks, recognition of context and activity on mobile terminal devices and Human-Computer-Interaction (HCI).
